March 3, 1952 – June 8, 2019
Angela was the best mother and grandmother in the world, and we will forever miss her.
Angela Chang (宮台蘊) is a graduate of the Taipei First Girls’ High School (北一女) (Class of ’70), National Taiwan University (臺大) (Class of ’74), and Texas A&M University – Kingsville (M.B.A., Class of ‘78).
She retired in March 2019, after working at Actek Manufacturing & Engineering since the early 1990’s. Before that, she was a lecturer at National Tsing Hua University in Taiwan (國立清華大學).
Angela loved to dance, watch Chinese serials, and read Ni Kuang (倪匡) novels. If you wanted to have an animated conversation with her, you could also mention Sanxingdui (三星堆), which she loved to discuss. Above all else, she loved her grandkids.
Angela is survived by her husband, Shyang Chang (張翔), their two daughters, Yuo-Fong Amato (張有方) and Yuo-Ling Bernards (張有鄰), and their two grandchildren, Ezekiel Amato (張周易) and Reagan Bernards (張周樂). Angela is also well-loved by her older sister, Lydia Kong (宮台華), and her younger brother, Taibai Kong (宮台沛).
